A JEWISH FAMILY EDUCATION PROJECT Celebrating The Tastes, Aromas, Art & Music Of Our Heritage
TRADITIONS ON WHEELS® was developed in September 1993 at the Jewish Community Center in Stamford, CT with the goal of creating materials and programs designed specifically to enhance Jewish life and empower families to live meaningful Jewish lives. From 1993 - 2000, "TOW" gained national recognition and awards from the Association of Jewish Community Centers. Since then, more than 45 community centers and synagogues across North America have joined the "TOW" family. In 2003, "TOW" national headquarters have rolled over to Westchester/Fairfield Hebrew Academy located in Greenwich, CT.

Since its inception, Claude Bernstein has provided leadership, vision and funding to ensure the success of "TOW". Mr. Bernstein dedicated this exciting program to the memory of his mother Michele Fruchart Bernstein, a Catholic woman who risked her life in the French Resistance Movement during World War II to save Jewish lives, and who, in fact, raised her own children as practicing Jews.

TRADITIONS ON WHEELS® was conceived as a holistic educational program; one which expresses the need to approach Jewish education as a positive family experience.
